just a quick documentation of where we have been and what we have been doing.
i believe sometimes we work way too hard and play too little...but a little recap of pictures i just transferred from my camera to my computer reminded me that it isn't all work no play. we do get out and enjoy the fabulous life we choose to live:)
dining
went out for a little wine and a little dine with jill and mom
chocolate and beer festival
we went to a huge warehouse, which used to be a ford factory; for a little chocolate and beer tasting event.
good friends, good beer (or so they said, i don't drink that stuff) and some delicious chocolate (and cheeses too!)
dinner with friends
a true weekend wouldn't be complete, if it didn't include a dinner with 10 of some pretty amazing people.
re-vamping the hall square
just moving somethings around, as the husband got a new reclining big brown couch; he absolutely loves it; which is great. but my color scheme is now all thrown for a loop and i have to figure out how to put it all back together; it'll happen, as it always does.
in the mean time, i moved a bookcase, and bought a new mirror to accompany it.
(receipt and packaging attached, just in case he doesn't like it...highly unlikely though:)
(in our future home we will definitely have a library, with a sliding ladder just like this)
and that's a wrap.

i love being an aunt!
my time with my little nephew this past weekend was pretty fun!
judah is easy going and inquisitive, so full of questions, like a thirsty little sponge he wants to soak up everything around him.
my favorite question was,
"aunt kim, how many grains of sand are in my hand? can we count them?"
i really enjoyed watching my brother interact with his son.
he is incredibly patient, loving, gracious and consistently kind.
the two of them have such a precious relationship, judah adores his dad, and it was really fun to witness them enjoy their solo time together.
on their last evening at my place, judah and i made valentines together for his classmates, his parents and his siblings...he is mastering the alphabet so i gave him a sheet of letter stickers with capitalized letters on one side and lower case on the other.
while searching for certian letters he would sing the alphabet song and then the vowel song, one i have never heard,
"a for apple, e for eagle, i for ice cream, o for oatmeal and u for united states"
(sing it with increasing volume for effect!)

i love visitors!
guess who came to visit?
we had so much fun, a mellow home cooked meal together thursday evening; and all day friday we hit the city for fun and adventures!
starting it off of course with coffee, and watching the j-train, as judah loved having a train with his name on it.
the beach was a hit with the judah man. he asked to go back all day, so we started the day at the beach and ended our day at the beach!
