i get the privilege of calling my security company, the paramedics and/or the cops almost daily.
it'd be a really slow day if i didn't pick up the phone asking for help from any of those guys.
today, unfortunately, someone who had too much to drink decided to fall down right-in-front-of-my-store
...and hit his head.
now, if it happened next to my store, as opposed to right in front...
it'd still be unfortunate, but much more preferable
so that my customers didn't have to walk over/around this guy.
i didn't want to get his blood on me, nor was he willing/able to move himself;
so there he hung out, in the rain
until the paramedics moved him to a more optimum spot to assess his injuries and state of being.
i'd have to say, working in the city, it's never boring!

sunday night dinner
this past sunday (as tradition speaks, DB cooks dinner!)
but, due to an overly full weekend, and our LoveWorks project on sunday
i gave DB took the night off from cooking
(note: i don't make him cook, he chooses to cook. but he did ask if he could take us out to dinner this weekend instead of cooking...and i said yes. of course)
we went to Curry Up Now.
ohmyword...delicious!
my mouth might still be on fire, but the food was tremendous.
we ordered the Sexy Fries, Naughty Naan and a Chicken Kathi Roll.

LadyA
DB bought me tickets for Christmas, and at the time March 23rd seemed so far away;
and then Friday the 23rd was here...and we were off to San Jose to see Lady Antebellum!
I was more into the show than DB, but thats a-okay, as I have been to more concerts of his love/choice than mine!
He did know a few songs, so he wasn't completely lost!
I am a country music fan, but unfortunately my country music radio station was taken over by a stupid sports talk radio show! grr.... I miss "waking up with fitz in the morning"
the show on friday was very fun!
we were exhausted from the overly full week heading into it
and starving by the time we got down to SJ, so dinner was a must.
we ended up at this rad open brick over pizza place
which provided us with the energy to make it through the show and the drive home:)
(you'd think were old enough to get the senior discount the way i talk about how tired we are all the time)
oh well; together we clock more hours at work than any couple should.
we'll chill out soon enough.
back to LadyA.
there were great, and I'd love to see them again!!

#iovesundays
its true.
as of late, sundays are a favorite in my book.
DB continues to make me/us dinner on sundays
(i believe we are going on 8 weeks of this tradition)!
he is a complete planner, he creates the menu throughout the week, decides on everything by friday, he does all the grocery shopping needed on saturday (usually while im at work)
and then cooks sunday evenings!
he is quite amazing
we have been extremely busy every day this week
and its hard to believe tomorrow is monday
i am thinking either an 8th day needs to be in my schedule, or a vacation with DB is in order...probably more likely is the latter of those two!

seattle. 2012
and im back.
spent the weekend in seattle with my mom and my sister.
happy birthday mom
it was a lovely clean fantastic city.
i had a cold, that wasn't lovely.
coffee flows through the heart of this city.
it maintains it's heartbeat, i swear.
coffee is everywhere.
i almost made it a mission to photograph people holding cups of coffee; but i didn't want to be that creepy annoying tourist...so i'll just let you all just imagine.
of course we visited the original starbucks....which was unique and rustic.
we walked everywhere, and that was fabulous, we made our way to bainbridge island for wine tasting and up to fremont and wallingford for cupcakes, a vegan bakery and some shopping.
a highlight of the trip for me was our coffee walking tour
the coffee tour was amazing; we went to several coffee shops/roasters and our guide called when we were on our way, and the coffee was ready when we arrived!
we had lattes and cookies at seattles best.
we had mochas and salted carmels at dilellante's mocha cafe
we had espresso and a latte art demonstration at caffe d'arte
we had macchiatos at cafe umbria
we had a french press demonstration at caffe vita
so so so good!
we also ventured into pioneer square for more coffee, and an underground walking tour.
seattle has maps on their sidewalks (aka drain covers) with little silver dots that mark your location. smart.
and the market...oh it was amazing
(i'd love to live near by to such a thing, fresh vegetables and fruit, beautiful bouquets of flowers, bakeries and cafes...ohmy!
i look forward to going back...to share the city with DB, he'd love it.
(and next time, i won't be fighting off a nasty cold)
we did see the space needle...but it was more magnificent from afar.
and we'll finish with a little creeper
