one wonderful thing about the company i work for is that when we do volunteer work, the organization we volunteer at receives our days worth of pay (versus us getting paid)
which isn't such a generous gift!
the day flew by!
i was on a team in charge of putting a ton of nails into the 2nd floor of these new condominiums being built for people of the community who make 40-60% of the average annual income.
habitat for humanity was a fabulous organization to work with for the day.
they were so incredibly organized, and truly appreciative of our time!
there was also a team of americorps volunteers who are working on this project for an entire year!
they were fantastic as well!
