trail less traveled

sarah and i went to chico for a quick trip; she had to work, i took a vacation day; and we made a weekend out of it!

our weekend included a 1/4 marathon.
appropriately titled, "trail less traveled"

the narrow trail run had a few muddy streams to hop over, a 3/4 mile of straight up hill (very hard), it kept us cool with lots of shade and some beautiful views of the lake...i didn't take pictures while running, so just trust me. there was a floppy footed runner who splashed me with mud, and i don't like to get my running shoes dirty in the first place; but i went with it; and it was a great way to spend a sunny sunday morning!
mom signed us all up for the race, and apparently i have a new sister; as sarah was signed up as a fairchild and her birthday one day before mine!
(mom didn't know personal info, so sarah was given a new identity)
awesome!
yet somehow my new sister received some "tall genes" and we don't know where they came from.



and as tradition has it, we went to the T bar.
(maybe we went 3 times in 3 days....doesn't matter, it is that good)


and next weekend...more chico adventures!
